The Viens do Vail

Today NC says goodbye to Lindsey and her family as they set out for their year long adventure in Vail, CO. Lucky for us the Viens stopped by for some quality time on Monday. Bon voyage guys - we will miss you!

Dad & Beth's Wedding Weekend

We went to the mountains this past weekend to witness and celebrate the marriage of my dad and Beth. It was a joyous occasion complete with a casual ceremony at my dad's, a great dinner out at Bella's Italian restaurant, a trip to Watauga Lake and a cookout back at my dad's. It was so great to introduce Danny to his great grandma, my brother and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The weather was amazingly cool. Below are some pics from the weekend.

Danny Smiles

Just within the last week or so Danny has super smiley periods where he totally hams it up for me and Jimmy. It's pretty much the sweetest and most gratifying part of every day. I swear he knows when I whip out my phone and gets a little shy, but here are some shots/videos.

Danny does Indochine

So proud of my little man! He behaved so well while mommy, Stef, Ali, my mom and cousins, Kyle and Maddie, had dinner at Indochine last night. The food was great per usual, but two of their AC units were down and it was insanely busy...per usual...and it's ridiculously hot out, so we were all a little sticky towards the end. Oh and some dumb dumb decided to park their car directly behind mine, so I couldn't get out. Thankfully Stef came to the rescue and eventually found it's owner. Who blocks someone in at a restaurant??? Silly lady.

Danny's First 4th of July

I'm a bad mommy for not having some super cute red, white and blue outfit for Danny to wear on his first 4th! We do have this adorable onesie from Dusty and Rachel, but it is a too big for our little peanut at this point.

Oh well! My mom had Ali, Dieter and cousins, Kyle and Maddie, in town, so we celebrated nonetheless.

Random, but here is me in the same shirt above a couple weeks before Danny was born. It is the only red and blue shirt I have, so I wore it on the 4th - badly stretched out and all! Crazy, but I strangely kinda miss the bump...
