Unseasonably Warm

Carolina Beach enjoyed mid-70s weather this past weekend. That meant a beach day for Danny and his first official taste of sand.

And He's Off...

Well, it's official, Danny is a crawler. Our BIG BOY just wants to move...

Though he's definitely still enticed the most by electronics and things he's not supposed to play with. Time to babyproof!

He Crawls...Sort Of...

Jimmy and I have been working on "training" Danny to crawl. Nothing had really been working until I set my iPhone out of reach. Because I need my iPhone to film, I had to use our remote control as the carrot. What can I say, the boy likes his electronics. Below is a short video capturing a few "steps"...

Toys, Toys, Toys!

Danny got so many great toys, books and clothes for Christmas. The calmness of the New Year has proved to be the perfect opportunity to settle in and enjoy our new things. Here's a couple pics of Danny playing with his Christmas spoils. I promise no babies were injured in the process of this photo shoot.

Getting close...

Danny is not crawling yet, but he's getting so close. Once he overcomes his "fear" of leaning forward enough to untuck this second leg, he's going to be gone. He currently gets into pre-crawling position from sitting up, but won't go that extra inch to get himself on all fours.

Thumb Sucker McGhee

Have I mentioned Danny being a thumb sucker? The boy LOVES his thumb. It's literally in his mouth all the time. I mean remove from his mouth to insert arm in his PJs and then right back in his mouth it goes. Remove to put arm through car seat strap and then right back in it goes. He even sucks on it the whole time he's in the bath. It's pretty cute now, but maybe hard to break down the road? One day at a time...
