Friends with Babies

It's so nice to be at the point in our lives where most of friends have babies too. On that note, when we got back to Carolina Beach from Maryland Matt, Kari and baby Seven were in town staying with Chad, Lindsay and Gemma. It was great as always to catch up with them and the kids had a blast playing together. Seven and Crew are almost the same age and same with Gemma and Danny. Good times!

And then it was a quick trip up to Maryland for Aunt Jessica and Uncle Jon's wedding. Luckily we also got to squeeze in some time with Grandma and Grandpa Ron before. Uncle Kevin and Aunt Stef were in from California too. It was all fun, fun, fun, but too quick!

And then at the wedding that night. Marisol, Jessica and Jon's mom did a wonderful job with all the wedding details. It was such a great night. Congrats Jess and Jon!

Family of Football Fans

Being a mom I am the target audience for one of the companies I work for, BRAX Fundraising, so I decided to take some pictures of me and the kids in our Redskins gear with BRAX's SpiritCups. I may be biased, but I think they're pretty cute!

Danny's First Day of 3s

Today was Danny's first day in the 3s class at St. James Day School. His teachers are Mrs. Ivey and Mrs. Braxton and he is with a lot of his same friends from the 2s class, plus some new peeps! It was Danny's first time eating lunch at school and he picked out his own lunch box online - it has trucks on it - duh! I was afraid Danny would be apprehensive about starting back since he'd been with me all summer, but he did well!

Welcomed Distraction

Though we were horrible hosts and probably not great company, we had Dan and Marisol in town AND we got to spend the night St. James visiting with Martha and Ron. It was a really good distraction from all the chaos and fun - as always - to see everyone!

Remodel Progress

Following demo it was bare concrete, sealer, padding and then they started the install of the new (lighter and more rustic) floors. On a positive note, we loved them, but the sanding of the stairs to eventually stain them to match made a BIG mess that we spent the next month cleaning up after. Grr!

Hotel Nana

The Henson's had renters booked at their condo, so we cleaned up after ourselves and moved to my mom and Jerry's place. They were out of town for the weekend, so we initially had our run of the place...and then we stayed with them for another week or so (I can't even remember). HUGE thank you to them for putting us up. We're a rowdy and messy bunch these days. Look at the beautiful view!
