Girls Weekend

The weekend before last Ali came to town to stay with my mom without Dieter and Jerry was out of town, so you could say it was a "girls weekend"... except for my four boys (Jimmy included). Testosterone aside, it was a beautiful weekend filled with pool-time, toys everywhere and cocktails.

Oh and the other morning Kingston woke up like, "crazy hair, don't care!"

When the Carnival Comes to Town

I know it's cheesy, but there is something so beach town nostalgic about the carnival rides that come to Carolina Beach Boardwalk in the summer! Every Tuesday it's family night on the boardwalk with face painting, characters, bounce house and games added to the fun. Crew wants nothing to do with the characters like Elmo or most of the rides. Scaredy cat. I like to take them for gelato too because, who doesn't love gelato? The other night I took them and it happened to be police and fire department night and they had all the trucks there. The boys were in HEAVEN. Love that we have these pics and memories to look back on as the kids visit the carnival for years to come!

Messy Mealtimes

Kingston is just too cute when he eats these days, but do you know what is NOT cute? His high chair seat! Yuck! Get's covered in food so fast, I just can't keep it clean! Anyways, ignore the nasty chair and soak in the sweetness that is Kingston...

And Danny has started taking an interest in feeding Kingston, which gives me an extra hand to do something else, but it also contributes to the mess!

O'Connor Beach Week

It's been over a month now, but better late than never, right? Anyways, Dan and Marisol hosted the O'Connor family for a fun-filled week of beach time, good food and drinks, dance parties and more and, as always, it was so good to catch up with our siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. Special thanks to Kelly for capturing all the pics below!

Yuck, awful angle of me, but beautiful family!

Danny also really took to surfing while everyone was in town and Jen caught these great pics!

Kingston at 11 Months

So I haven't posted a monthly update since Kingston was 8 months. Eek! #ThirdBabyProblems! And as you can imagine, A TON has changed since then. He's still pretty underweight so we're on a butter and a little supplemented formula diet in the form of yogurt, rice cereal and sippy cup with meals. He's rocking six teeth (four on top, 2 on bottom) and, as a result of said diet, a bit of a belly and thunder thighs. He loves Danny, but crawls for the hills when Crew approaches. We love you, Crew, but you can be a bit much for little Kingston! He's started catching on to social queues and laughs when he thinks something someone says is supposed to be funny. He gives the biggest, toothiest smiles. He's started fighting me a little during naps, but still a really great sleeper. He's not walking, but has started "cruising" some. He's even let go a couple times and stood independently. At this point, I don't have any guesses as to when he'll take his first steps. For now, I'm just enjoying this last month before he turns 1. He says dada and mamamamama and waves his arms up down when he sees someone new and it sounds like he's trying to say "hi". We're working on blowing kisses and bye-bye. You continue to be such a joy and we just love you so much, sweet Kingston!

Lay for a photo op?
Not a chance!
So backdrop in the crib it is!
