Living for the Weekend

We're entering the busy spring/summer season here in Carolina Beach, so it's hard to not feel and act like we're on vacation on the weekends. Work hard, play hard, right?

Kingston at 8 Months

Happy 8 months Kingston! You brighten every day with your big smile and sweet nature! As of a couple weeks ago, he started crawling and now he's ON THE MOVE all the time! He's very good at blowing bubbles, a.k.a. drooling on himself, and babbling more and more every day! Still super light weight, but head circumference and height are on point, so doctors assure me he'll catch up! He's just started eating finger foods and he seems to enjoy the entertainment of feeding himself. Still sporting just the two lower teeth, but I'm thinking one of the top ones is going to sprout any time!

Oh and it only took me 8 extra months, but I finally finished Kingston's nursery! Love the engineering print of Jimmy surfing in Tortola with custom frame from Papa!

Hippity Hoppity

Next up in the O'Connor household was Spring Break from St. James Day School and Easter! It was a busy work week for me, so luckily I had so much help from Lita and Nana, but me and the boys did manage to hit up Hugh McRae park and their new splash pad early on in the week!

Got him in the eye!

I confess I sneak in and take pics while he sleeps

The kids had a lot Easter festivities between school and extracurricular activities, so the lead-up to Easter morning was really fun! We "planted" jelly beans in the yard and Easter eggs hatched the next morning. Danny was really quick to find Crew's Easter basket on the morning of, but struggled to help find Kingston's and couldn't for the life of him find his. In typical five year old, sassy boy status, he was pretty perturbed. But alas, the Easter bunny did NOT forget him.

Party Time

We keep things pretty low-key in terms of social life these days, but the other weekend, we were double booked with two separate bounce houses! First up was a 2nd birthday party for a little boy named River and then it was a going away/Easter shindig for Jake and family - moving to Portland, OR. Sad to see our friends go, but excited for their new adventure!

Assuming the Position

Kingston is not crawling quite yet, but he frequently assumes the position like he's ready to take off! It's hard enough as it tracking everyone down that I don't know what I'll do when another one is mobile! Alas, we'll figure it out!

Tired from all the trying to crawl!
Danny and Crew continue to love on him constantly. With Crew, it's borderline child abuse.

And just a couple random pics...
