Toddler Treehouse

I recently took Danny to the Children's Museum for Toddler Time. This week's class was "My First Baking Soda Experiment" - essentially just squirting colored vinegar on trays of baking soda, but Danny thought it was the best thing ever. Here he is burning some energy pre-class in the Toddler Treehouse room.

Weekend Sleepy Head

It never fails, Danny always takes the best and longest naps on the weekend! Never on weekdays when Mommy has work to do. I guess he's just trying to keep me on my toes! Here is Danny after over 4.5 hours the other weekend. We had places to go, so wake him up we will!

15 Month Doctors Appointment

We had Danny's 15 month doctors appointment yesterday. Below are his stats. Super happy to hear that he's up from under 3% percentile weight to 25-50% percentile.

Mac and Cheese Face

I think it's definitely safe to say that Danny's favorite food is mac and cheese. When mac and cheese is on the menu, I must start with the veggies and protein if I want him to eat anything else. I just love how it gets all over his face...

New Skill

I often pre-schedule out a weeks worth of posts, so sometimes what I share on the blog is kind of old news. This is one of those times. Danny is.... WALKING!! 

It started a week and half ago with a couple 3-4 steppers here and there. And then he graduated to 7-8 steps and now there is no limit to the number of steps! And he can stop and gain back the momentum to start again. My favorite, however, is his ability to stand back up after stumbling with nothing but the strength of his little legs and coordination he got from his daddy.

Groupie

As the summer winds down, so does live music on the island, so we recently hit up the Tiki Bar for a band from the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area. Danny was a big fan!

Toddler Tubby Time

Danny still loves baths, a constant since he was a very little guy, but his tubby times have become quite adventurous. He wants to "walk" all over the place, throw every toy out of the tub, definitely never wants to get out!

Saturday we invested in a 2 year, 3 kid (yeah right) family pass to the Fort Fisher Aquarium (and other NC zoological parks). Danny didn't know what to think about all the new sights, but one thing is for sure, we'll be back weekly! So much fun for all!

Jimmy grew up going to Ocean City, MD with his family, so it's only fitting that Connor and now Danny would have their own Ocean City t-shirt.
