Happy Easter!

I took Danny to see the Easter Bunny this week and the poor guy was not amused. I have to admit, he is pretty creepy looking. Next year, Danny, it will be much more fun. I promise. Just Easter egg hunts and an Easter basket... oh and a reunion with the bunny!

Bedhead

I mentioned this in his 10 month post, but I must reiterate - Danny boy's hair has a little kink/curl to it. Not like his (adorable) cousin Connor,  but still. I've definitely seen it curlier, but here's a couple cute "bedhead" shots...

Note the always favorite "toy", the iPhone. Danny loves to carry it around everywhere with him and, when mommy's not looking, pull up on the toilet and drop it in. Yep, that happened. Step 1, bowl full of rice. Step 2, disinfectant.

Coordination

I've already bragged many times about Danny's standing, but now he's starting to show the coordination signs of pre-walking. When will Danny take his first steps - that is the question??

Grandma & Puffs

This past weekend, Grandma came for a visit from Maryland. We stayed up way past our bedtime (think: the band came on at the bar/restaurant we were eating at), spent a solid hour "testing" toys in a toy store, ate and played our hearts out!

Oh and randomly, after many attempts to get Danny to eat cheerios/puffs, he up and started eating them off the table in front of him. We've yet to get him to do it again, but I'll take it!

Puffs = better toy, than food
Check out the 1 week old and 10 months old comparison...

Last, but not least, Ron's golf tournament in Myrtle Beach got rained out, so he was able to make a cameo on Sunday!

Danny at 10 Months

Bad mommy.

We're a day late and I have no excuse. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to make up for it with an obscene amount of pictures. Can't believe our sweet Danny boy turned the big 1-0 (months) yesterday! My what a little man he's become. Like most (or is it all?) babies, he started his speech with the "dada" sound. And while he calls other things "dada" as well, he definitely knows Jimmy is his dada too. Whenever Jimmy walks into the room, he screams "dada!" and crawls furiously towards him. It's unbelievably sweet. He's also become very mischievous, or curious, always crawling towards EVERYTHING I've told him not to play with or taken him away from. He'll even stop crawling, look back at me and grin, and then crawl faster to said thing. He loves standing at mommy's feet while she works and help me type. We've also got a new spin on peek-a-boo where he holds something like a cloth napkin and likes to quickly hide and expose his giggling face just to get your reaction. He works this adorable machine gun laugh. Oh, I just melt. Hair is getting a little kink to it. Always busy, busy, busy. Here's the official report, but first, a long overdue comparison.

1, 5 and 10 months

Weight: Scale kept giving me an error message because someone wouldn't stop wiggling!

Likes: Playing with his cars/trucks, dancing (just a head bob at this point), being chased, "tackling" piles of pillows on bed/couch, food!, dada, iphone

Dislikes: Being told "no" or taken away from something he wants, the end of meals, lying on his back for diaper changes - much prefers we do it "on the fly"

Sleeping: Daylight savings was a godsend as he now almost always sleeps until after 6am, but still goes down around 7-8pm. Definitely finicky about naps though. Like if he takes the edge off with a 15 min nap in the car, it's nearly impossible to get him to go down again. Oh and he's gotta have his monkey lovie like so...

Eating: I'm leaving a lot more texture to his food at this point, but he still doesn't want anything completely whole, ie. a puff, and isn't attempting to feed himself. As he nears a year old (tear), I'm also becoming a little more adventurous with letting him try little bites of my food.

Teeth: 2 (both on the bottom) and no signs of any others cropping up

Similarities and Social Media

Channeling his inner Gordon's Fisherman...

Cool guy...

Danny's 1st tweet at a mere 9.5 months. At least he didn't message an old "friend" on Facebook.

Great Weekend

Saturday was windy but warm so we hit up the Tiki Bar for the first time this spring and listened to live music and visited with friends - Jake, Martine and Toby to be specific.

And then Sunday, Granddad and Lita came to visit! Couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

Fun Dip

Last Sunday we had a (somewhat) warm day, so we took advantage and went to the beach. Danny learned a neat little thumb + sand dipping combo trick, like a natural version of Fun Dip. Needless to say, he ate A LOT of sand. Hopefully the allure wears off before summer.

A couple pics with mom and dad...

A seashell swallowing attempt - scared mommy half to death - and we called it a day! Today is supposed to be in the 70s, so I think we go back for round two.

Filler

I was in Boston earlier this week for a work conference, so all I have for blog content is random "filler". Enjoy!

Loving that bottom lip
Um, guys, I think I'm stuck
In other news, Granddad and Lita are paying us a visit this coming weekend and we just can't wait to see them both!

Daddy

Danny has become quite a daddy's boy lately. He tears through the living room when he sees him walk in the front door from work. And if I'm holding him when he gets home, he nearly leaps from my arms. He giggles his head off at him during his bath and diaper changes. His favorite thing to do with daddy though is bouncing on his knee (middle).

Sweet hugs (right)

So Helpful

The older Danny gets, the more "helpful" he becomes around the house.

Putting away my laundry piles
And even though he has a fabulous play area, he insists on standing at my feet and checking up on what I'm doing, especially when I'm working. Gotta love the attention from this little cutie!
