The Gualtelman's a.k.a. Christmas 3 of 7

We're up to Round 3 at this point, but truthfully each gathering is even sweeter than the last and uniquely special in it's own way! This past weekend, it was meeting Gpa and family in Chapel Hill for our annual "Gualtelman's" celebration. That's a combo of Gualtieri (Ali's married name) and Heintzelman! I crack myself up. We had a blast running Ali and her house ragged and driving around our old stomping grounds. Gpa got quite a few snuggles. Such a great weekend!

Country Christmas Train a.k.a. Christmas 2 of 7

Mike and Lori Hughes, our part-time neighbors in CB, don't have children of their own and absolutely love our boys, so a while back we started making plans to visit them around Christmas in their full-time hometown Denton, NC and go to the famous Country Christmas Train! So mid-December, we finally made it and, per usual, they were so sweet to us - hosting our crazy clan in their home, pulling strings to get the boys in the engine of the train, giving everyone nice gifts, feeding us and more. We're so fortunate to know such kind people! And, wow, the Country Christmas Train was like the Tweetsie Railroad I grew up with in Blowing Rock, but not cheesy at all. Just really cool!

Kingston's Goes to School

In early December, I finally started Kingston two mornings a week (from 9 to 11:45am) at St. James Day School. Aside from the moment he sees me at pick-up, he's been perfectly happy and having friends with his friends. So thankful for the St. James teachers - so sweet and loving!
