Gobble Til You Wobble

Next up was Thanksgiving a.k.a the best holiday when you're preggers! Per tradition, the 4's class at St. James Day School had a Thanksgiving performance. Crew was so excited about it beforehand, but got so nervous and just stood there with his fingers in his mouth. Oh well! It was cute nonetheless!

And then it was Thanksgiving! Kelly and family were in town, along with Jon and Jess, so it was quite the spread and shindig. Even Nana and Jerry came! The boys, of course, had a blast playing with their cousins!

Chili Cook-Off and Biking

Jimmy's friend and colleague, Jake, and his family throw the best chili cook-offs every year - always a good time for the kids and we stuff ourselves silly. Jake's wife also makes the best chocolate mint chip cookies. Like I'd killed for one (or four) about now. I've entered a chili in the past, but this year I just ate! Jake told Danny that there are lizards in those woods and he was off...

Between school activities and the "big night", we had such a great Halloween. Danny had said for months that he wanted to go as Michael Jackson and I think his costume came together great! Crew and Kingston both selected super heroes!

The Fair and Other Fall Fun

Danny attending our local fair with his buddy Fisher and family. He won a goldfish in one shot in a carnival game and Fisher was so jealous that his parents had to fork out like $20 worth of tries until Fisher won one too. Danny's was Larry and Fisher's was Ice Man (or something similar). Both died days later :( Luckily Larry kicked the bucket before Danny got home from school, so I could flush him and tell Danny that I gave him a proper burial at the CB Lake.

Jimmy was out of town for work, so I took the boys to an outdoor viewing of "Hocus Pocus" at RiverLights. It was such a festive fall thing to do pre-Halloween! They would have lasted the whole time, but pregnant mama had to pee and didn't want to take all of them into a porta-potty with me!

Lastly, Danny still loves to draw and make special art and notes for me and Jimmy.  I think this one was so sweet!
