Dogs and Car Carts

When it comes to animals, Danny loves kitties! Funny because Jimmy and I are both not cat people. Crew, though, he's all about the dogs. Like in a way that kind of makes me nervous because he has no fear. Anyways, here is Crew playing with a sweet pup the other weekend and Danny and Gemma more interested in Danny's "iPad".

Cape Fear Kite Festival

Took the kids by myself last Saturday to the Cape Fear Kite Festival while Jimmy played in a disc golf tournament. It was a good idea in theory and the kites were cool, but Danny ultimately spoiled the whole experience by throwing a fit on the beach. I may or may not have yelled a couple times during our long walk back to the car...

Happy Birthday Phoenix

Mike and Brittany's son, Phoenix, turned 3 years old and we were there at TMuffin to celebrate. It was football themed. There were beers. The kids were completely entertained. Two thumbs up!

Halloween - The Main Event

For actual Halloween night we hit up the Carolina Sands neighborhood in the golf cart. Brought me back to Halloween last year with Crew at a week old! Anways, in addition to the Up themed costumes, we also did a sign and some balloons for the golf cart. And we got to meet up with Jake, Martine and June again - in town visiting some other friends. Danny was really into trick-or-treating and the houses in Carolina Sands do an amazing job with decorations, but he also got tired pretty quick! All-in-all I'd say Halloween 2015 was a huge success!

Trick-or-Treat Under the Sea

Friday night we surprised Danny with a trip to the aquarium for trick-or-treat under the sea with Jake, Martine and sweet June, the pigeon. It was a new spin on one of his favorite places so he was into it! In my opinion though, the werewolf and clown scuba divers were a little creepy. Anyways, both he and Crew got to debut their costumes as Russell and Kevin the bird from Up. Crew was actually a parrot, not an exotic snipe from Latin America - so just use your imagination!!

Halloween School Party

First on the docket for Halloween festivities was a party at Danny's preschool. I was a few minutes late and there were already other parents there. My heart broke when I walked in and saw Danny looking around with watery eyes and a quivering lip wondering where his parents were and then he saw me and Crew and just lit up. It was such a sweet and tender moment! Anyways it was so fun to be there and see Danny in action with all his little friends. Instead of his costume (too many parts), I put them in their skeleton shirts from Grandma and Grandpa Ron! They looked adorable if I do say so myself!
