Danny at 10 Months

Bad mommy.

We're a day late and I have no excuse. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to make up for it with an obscene amount of pictures. Can't believe our sweet Danny boy turned the big 1-0 (months) yesterday! My what a little man he's become. Like most (or is it all?) babies, he started his speech with the "dada" sound. And while he calls other things "dada" as well, he definitely knows Jimmy is his dada too. Whenever Jimmy walks into the room, he screams "dada!" and crawls furiously towards him. It's unbelievably sweet. He's also become very mischievous, or curious, always crawling towards EVERYTHING I've told him not to play with or taken him away from. He'll even stop crawling, look back at me and grin, and then crawl faster to said thing. He loves standing at mommy's feet while she works and help me type. We've also got a new spin on peek-a-boo where he holds something like a cloth napkin and likes to quickly hide and expose his giggling face just to get your reaction. He works this adorable machine gun laugh. Oh, I just melt. Hair is getting a little kink to it. Always busy, busy, busy. Here's the official report, but first, a long overdue comparison.

1, 5 and 10 months

Weight: Scale kept giving me an error message because someone wouldn't stop wiggling!

Likes: Playing with his cars/trucks, dancing (just a head bob at this point), being chased, "tackling" piles of pillows on bed/couch, food!, dada, iphone

Dislikes: Being told "no" or taken away from something he wants, the end of meals, lying on his back for diaper changes - much prefers we do it "on the fly"

Sleeping: Daylight savings was a godsend as he now almost always sleeps until after 6am, but still goes down around 7-8pm. Definitely finicky about naps though. Like if he takes the edge off with a 15 min nap in the car, it's nearly impossible to get him to go down again. Oh and he's gotta have his monkey lovie like so...

Eating: I'm leaving a lot more texture to his food at this point, but he still doesn't want anything completely whole, ie. a puff, and isn't attempting to feed himself. As he nears a year old (tear), I'm also becoming a little more adventurous with letting him try little bites of my food.

Teeth: 2 (both on the bottom) and no signs of any others cropping up
