We took Jimmy's truck this past weekend to Corolla, OBX in the 4-wheel drive territory for an O'Connor family beach trip. The house we stayed in, Spencer's parents place, was awesome and the views of the ocean, dunes and wild horses was so pretty. It was so great to see everyone - always a good time with the O'Connors! We hope everyone greatly enjoys the rest of their week at the beach!
Unfortunately, poor Danny had a terrible bout of teething and a cold at the same time, so he was pretty miserable. As a result, I really slacked on taking pictures. Sadly, these pictures of Danny with Ryan's kids, Macie and Keller, was all I got before the funk set in. Happy thoughts that Danny feels better soon!

Table Manners
Don't let these sweet and innocent pictures fool you, Danny has terrible table manners! He loves to look right at me as I tell him "no" and drop his sippy cup on the floor or worse throw his food. Oh, how the kid loves to throw his food these days. He also loves to "share" his Cheerios, and really little bits of everything he eats, with Malloy. What he does to restaurant floors, I can't even describe the mess. Eating a meal with Danny boy is an adventure to say the least!
Mom, I can't smile. I have food in my mouth. |

Danny's First Baseball Cap
Jimmy came home the other day with Danny's first baseball cap. We think it's an adorable addition to his wardrobe.

Weekend Visitors
This past weekend, my dad, Beth and Mac all came to Carolina Beach for a little summer vacay. It was so nice to have them in town and get to visit for dinner, etc. They even got us on the beach for the first time since we started the whole pack and move shenanigans! I don't have many pictures from the weekend - not even one of poor Beth! Oops!

Shiva's Sonoma Bachelorette Weekend
I just got back from a long weekend in San Francisco and Sonoma for Shiva's Bachelorette party! It was so much that it's taken me a couple days to get back on east coast, "real life" time again. Here's a few of my favorite pictures from the weekend.
Beautiful (but cold) San Fran:

Definitely missed these guys though...

While I was away, Jimmy took Danny to see the Huesdash family in Sunset Beach. Here's a cute pic of Danny and Jack. Jack's twin, Clara, is not pictured. Something tells me she was off doing mature, girly things while these two crazy boys played on the floor together.

Next Chapter
So sorry, once again, for the lapse in posts. For those of you who didn't know, we decided to sell our house a couple months ago and yesterday was closing day! Needless to say, it's been a busy couple weeks, but we're now settled in our cute little duplex just a couple blocks from the tiki bar and beach - not a bad way to spend the rest of the summer!
Our Fifth Street home was our dream house when we bought it in 2009 and we had so many great memories there. While saying goodbye has been a little bittersweet, we're super excited for the next chapter in our lives - building a home!
