IKEA and Father's Day

Between third trimester nesting and a general desire to decorate/do some things around the house, we've been on a tear as of a late. One of the projects is getting the boys' rooms ready - updating to shared for Danny and Crew and a new nursery for the baby. Oh and I'm really into organizing and getting ready for accommodating another being in our house! So...we decide to make a quick, impromptu trip to Charlotte so we could hit up IKEA. But to make it more special for all, we first made a detour to the NC Zoo in Asheville!

IKEA was a nightmare with both boys, lots of walking for a very preggo me and trying to nail everything we wanted to get. There's a joke about married couples going to IKEA and leaving divorced. It's not funny. In the end though, it was successful and we're now in full furniture building and redecorating mode. Pics to come on the finished product!

Someone was excited about waking up in a hotel

We ended the weekend celebrating Father's Day in the best way we know how...at the beach! I said this in my card to Jimmy, but it's true, I love the way the boys light up when they see him. It's like he walks on water. Their real life superhero. Our family is so lucky to have you!
